Let’s face it: sporty looks are rarely matched up with elegance, simply because their primary aim is to bring you comfort through functionality, through their ease of wearing any-time, anywhere – meaning when there’s no particular need to think of special occasions:). Not in this case though.
When I’ve first came across Fiorella Di Lorenzo’s new handbag collections via Instagram launched fresh (just last year!) I felt attracted by her myriad of patterns, shapes & colours: her Italian craftsmanship was all in the air – so I couldn’t resist, I had to investigate the background behind this brand and its creator – Fiorella:
Fiorella isn’t a newcomer to the fashion industry, she’s coming from within having over a decade of teaching experience at the Advanced Construction and Patternmaking course at Miami International University, Florida.
Before becoming a teacher herself Fiorella studied textile and fashion design at the University of Buenos Aires. She’s chosen to thoroughly research the look and feel before her handbags came to life boasting a clean design and multiple looks one can choose from: the 60’s flair (polka dots, tiny duffel shape and a city shopper bag):
In 2010, Fiorella authored the highly acclaimed educational book, Tailoring Techniques for Fashion, which is currently used as part of the core curriculum in accredited universities in the United States and abroad, including the Parsons School of Design
Her free spirit, dedication and effortless style rhyming denim elegance, sporty urban chic have all inspired me to a new photo session, have a look below:
